Destination
Porto, the invicta (unvanquished) city
Built on the banks of the Douro River, the historic route of the famous wine, extending to the Atlantic coast, Porto combines a cosmopolitan soul with charming historical and cultural heritage.

Gastronomic Getaway
There are countless reasons why visitors are attracted to this city. However, we want to share our selection of experiences which we believe perfectly translate the authenticity of this destination, using our hotel as a starting point. If what motivates you is a gastronomic getaway, we suggest a short walk to Praça dos Poveiros and the surrounding streets, where you can taste the idiomatically named francesinha (“little French girl”- emblematic sandwich from Porto), roasted pork sandwiches or the popular hot dogs.

Culture

Praça da Batalha (Square)
In Praça da Batalha, embark on a journey through time on the emblematic Tram No. 22 and let yourself be guided through history. When passing through Rua de Santa Catarina and its intersecting streets, visit the historical local shops, the Mercado do Bolhão (market) and the Capela das Almas (Chapel of Souls). Resuming the trip, catch a glimpse of the main points of interest in the city, including the Torre dos Clérigos (Tower), Praça dos Aliados (Square) and the Estação de São Bento (Train Station). Alternatively, you can go to the Catedral da Sé do Porto (Cathedral), passing through the upper deck of the Dom Luís Bridge and the Muralhas Fernandinas (city walls) and continue the journey via the Funicular or Escadaria dos Guindais (Stairs) which transport you to the Ribeira (riverside) area, overlooking the Caves de Vinho do Porto (Porto Wine Cellars).
